a whirlwind explosion

since half term and visiting Edinburgh, life has seemed like a whirlwind, its like, some powers that be have pressed a 'GO' button on life and everything's happening all at once...
I am for your information talking about university and decisions on where I'm planning on living, breathing, studying next September. And yes, I currently don't have a clue.

Apart from pretty much falling in love all over again with Edinburgh at half term.
Experiencing the city, the gorgeous university, the dream course and the crazy and quirky nights out did it for me, so naturally I have my sights set on applying there.

Now its time to figure out where else I need to apply for if all else fails as its SO god damn competitive! I'm visiting LDN-Wimbledon college of art and hopefully Leeds (ugh) this month...

Anyway, I think about this ALOT at the moment so therefore this blog will not be about my life decisions right now as I'm feeling the pressure..

I saw Christmas Carol with my whole family today which is pretty rare that we all go out as a group these days, it was very cute :)
It got me feeling festive and excited about Christmas, I'm planning a 'festive shindig' with people from college and will attempt to make my own mince pies and snowballs and watch christmas films. ahhhh.

Yesterday I really encouraged Madey (le boss) at the cafe to open a 'Bistro Christmas evening' every week in December up until Christmas. She really dug the ideas I came up with and said she totally wanted me on board organizing it and designing the menus and advertising it etc. Poulton is in dire need for something a little bit more cultural and classy, not overpriced, sleazy and chavvy.

Watched 'Half Nelson' the other night - a pretty original story, Ryan Gosling is such an underestimated actor. Not because he is extremely pretty, but, he just delivers really well. I recommended it to my Dad, we always seem to bond over edgy films, I said "Its about a crack addict who teaches in a black community and forms a close bond with one of the 13 year old students who discovers and helps him with his addiction". I think he got the wrong end of the stick and presumed it was some twisted student/teacher sex relationship involving crack or something...oh well. it isn't.
